Good to hear your interest in the Tor GSoC. 

Regarding Atlas and Compass there is a project that we have not put up as a GSoC, but if you are interested gsathya or me could probably mentor you.

The most pressing topic regarding Atlas and Compass is getting the two platforms merged. The relevant ticket is this one: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/6682.

What is your skillset? Are you familiar with Angular.js or other relevant web technologies?
