 Unfortunately not. The Thunderbird account creation wizard wants to
 successfully "test" the server, before it allows pressing the button
 "create account".

 This means, with your workaround, you'd have to connect to the server
 without using TorBirdy at least once. Since the mail provider is an
 adversary in TorBirdy's thread model, this is not an option.
