Comment:

 I disagree. I've tested.

 1. Create self-sign CA authority.
 2. Create self-sign cert signed by #1 CA.
 3. Install certificate.

 Result: onion + padlock.


 Besides, any kind of https:// is padlock.
 Why you can't display padlock for https://onion?
