Actually we have a new release candidate that might solve your transproxy problems:

https://guardianproject.info/downloads/0.2.2.25-orbot-alpha-1.0.5-dev-RC2.apk (.asc signed by nathan at guardianproject.info)

The app is signed with our development key so you will have to uninstall your current version of Orbot first.
