hi,
is there still any ongoing development to let tor take better advantage
from a multi-cpu system than only performing onionskin decryption? With
NumCPUs set to 8 my node looks like this:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ P COMMAND
8823 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m R 84.3 8.7 4273:39 1 tor
14972 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m S 2.7 8.7 0:02.52 1 tor
14971 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m S 1.3 8.7 0:00.96 1 tor
14965 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m S 0.7 8.7 0:00.42 0 tor
14966 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m S 0.7 8.7 0:00.12 0 tor
14967 debian-t 20 0 607m 343m 28m S 0.7 8.7 0:00.04 0 tor
1 root 20 0 10324 684 572 S 0.0 0.0 1:24.63 1 init
2 root 15 -5 0 0 0 S 0.0 0.0 0:00.00 1 kthreadd
[...]
The main thread is running near 100% leaving the other five threads more
or less idle.
