Hi everybody,
I'm excited to be able to work for the Tor project in this year's
Google Summer of Code! I would like to say thank you for giving me
this opportunity and for helping me get more familiar with Tor, and a
special thanks to Jacob Appelbaum for being my mentor.
My name is Runa Sandvik and I am studying computer science at the
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). I am currently
in my second year of a bachelor's degree. I plan to continue on to a
master's programme, in either networking or information security once
I have graduated next year.
This summer I will be working on the translation wiki for the Tor
website - making it possible to translate the website via Pootle. My
application abstract can be found here:
http://socghop.appspot.com/student_project/show/google/gsoc2009/eff/t124022248835
I will post some notes to this list about my progress during the
summer, as well as blog about it on http://gsoc-tor.blogspot.com/
Feel free to find me in #tor on OFTC (or write an email) should you
want to discuss this project or ask any questions :)
