[tor-reports] Pearl Crescent status report for October 2013

Tor-related work that Mark and Kathy did this month:

- Had a brief discussion r.e. possible use of Tor Launcher inside
   Tails (Vidalia will need to be phased out at some point).

- Re-based and tweaked patches to help Mike land two important
   fixes that we made for TBB 3.0beta1:
      Directory reorganization (will make future updates easier).

- Spent more time updating various Tor Browser patches for Firefox
   ESR 24.  Between Mike and us, this process has now been completed
   (although Mike may find more ESR 24 changes that Mozilla made
   that necessitate new patches).

- Helped update Torbutton for compatibility with Firefox ESR 24:

- Made a little more progress in adapting Firefox's updater for use
   in TBB.  Updating of bundled extensions will be handled by
   including "force overwrite" instructions in the MAR files (these
   are the files that carry updates to the browser).
   Next steps:
        - Resolve issues related to handling of TBB version.
        - Re-base patches to Firefox ESR 24 and commit.
        - Work with Mike and Erinn to create a process to
          generate MAR files when they spin new releases of TBB.
