I'm using the
[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=keepass2android.keepass2android&hl=en_US
Keepass2Android] password manager. It provides an Android autofill
provider.
In other browsers, such as firefox, the Android autofill framework appears
to be getting the URL as part of the search-string/key, allowing the
Keepass to fetch the appropriate username and password for the web page.
(screenshot attached)
In the Tor browser it appears to just be getting the search-string "Tor
Browser", forcing the user to switch to the Keepass2Android app and search
for the corresponding web page themselves.
I tried using the Google autofill provider instead (from the provider list
in the accessibility settings), and that *does* work as intended. i.e. it
could be a bug in the Keepass2Android provider, but otoh that provider
*does* work with other browsers such as Firefox.
