We're already using an HTML placeholder here, but that only appears when
the user clears the input. So, doesn't solve the issue.

Looks like we'd have to use JavaScript for this. Not a big issue, because
having this tooltip is not essential for using the website. But not the
best solution, IMO.

I tried that, and it doesn't look as nice with a max width of 100px. And
I'd rather abstain from hacking our CSS.

Okay, I put this in. It solves the issue. Let's try it out. And if it has
any downsides, we'll probably hear about them from our users.
