 With the recent update deleting comments in batches does not work anymore
 which makes it much harder to deal with comment spam.

 If one selects comments and then clicks "Apply to selected items" (after
 making sure one has the "Delete comment" option selected) it says that it
 essentially deleted those items but they are still there (and there is no
 question about whether one really wants to do it before proceeding
 anymore).
