 Note that in the server log file offered in the previous comment, a
 critical difference between the attempts that succeed and the attempts
 that fail, is that in the (v3) attempts that succeed, we see log lines
 like this:

 {{{
 ... [info] hs_cell_parse_introduce2(): Received a decodable INTRODUCE2
 cell ...
 }}}

 In the attempts that fail, we do not see such lines.  I believe that this
 suggests that the onion service is not hearing from the intro point (or
 that it is not understanding what it is hearing).

 Why is this happening?
