 Actually, I too prefer `~` over `$HOME`, but in the vast majority of
 cases, the two are equivalent.

 You suggested: `$HOME/.local/share/sandboxed-tor-
 browser/Browser/Downloads`
 The code does: `$HOME/.local/share/sandboxed-tor-browser/tor-
 browser/Browser/Downloads`

 Finding the non-cosmetic difference is left as an exercise for the
 student.
