 $sysconfdir is set during configure and defaults to /etc

 Thanks for clarifying!  I was leaning more towards one path is the
 default: meaning not /etc (but /etc/path/to/torric is **the** default
 path). I see now this would be an absolute mess and would lead to less
 flexibility.
