 Interesting! Stem's cwd util certainly should work on OSX. Iirc pwdx isn't
 present but lsof should work. What do you get when you run the following?

 % pwdx [tor_pid]
 % lsof -a -p [tor_pid] -d cwd -Fn
 }}}
