 Updates are automatic, although it takes a while to download the update
 MAR file in the background because the download is throttled.
 Interestingly enough, for Firefox 52 Mozilla is removing the throttling
 entirely:
   https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1309668
 I do not know if doing this would be a good idea for the TPO
 infrastructure and the Tor network, but we could increase the download
 rate some. Currently, when an update is happening without the user's
 knowledge (in the background), only 300,000 bytes are downloaded once per
 minute.
