 Attached is the only error log we were able to find, which isn't very
 helpful.

 Removing the application and profile, and starting from scratch worked as
 expected.  lnl's account is all setup now, and we were able to establish
 an OTR session.

 I'm not sure how things got so corrupted.  Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
 didn't even show ctyptes-otr, only Tor Launcher.
