Comment (by cypherpunks):

 Hi blindmouse.

 Yes, the Torbutton is a button with a green onion as icon. More precisely,
 Torbutton is an addon which is a very important part of the Tor Browser
 distribution. This addon places the green onion button in the browsers
 toolbar. By default it's positioned to the left of the URL address bar.

 I was going to link you to a document (the README file in Torbutton's code
 repository) with a bit more information on what Torbutton does and how to
 use it but it looks like that documentation is extremely outdated. I think
 another ticket for fixing that is in order.

 But, briefly, Torbutton provides a menu through which one can:
 - control certain aspects of the browsing session ("new identity", "new
 Tor circuit");
 - select privacy and security preferences;
 - configure a few networking settings;
 - and learn about the Tor circuit being used currently.

 Can you provide some information about your software stack? Things like
 operating system, Tor Browser variant, screen reader software, etc.
 Knowing this might help reproduce and diagnose the problem. Thanks.
