 Looks fine, although wouldn't it suffice to include the entire source
 folder?

 like:

 or using a new property
 {{{
 ...
 <property name="allsources" value="src"/>
 ...
 <tarfileset dir="${allsources}"
            prefix="descriptor-${release.version}/${allsources}" />
 }}}
