 I accept the argument. Don't know the code and acknowledge Mike's
 analysis.  Many users are not technical and so best to not alarm or
 confuse anyone unnecessarily, especially if issue will be mitigated in the
 not-too-distant future.  For anyone technical enough to be concerned, much
 information can be found in #16585.  Have no objection to this ticket
 being closed "wontfix" or "not a bug".
