Comment:

 Actually, I was overzealous in suppressing unencrypted messages in that
 commit.  We only want to do that in the error case.  I've commited
 https://github.com/arlolra/ctypes-
 otr/commit/c1610e9fdc1a72def2af9a8b1b05310873504065 which should address
 this issue in the next release.
