 gk: Yeah there is. By default it's: CT_LOCAL_TARBALLS_DIR="${HOME}/src".
 If using the menuconfig then it's called "Local tarballs directory".

 If you set CT_SAVE_TARBALLS=y then new ones needed are downloaded and
 cached there too. If you know ahead of time what tarballs are needed then
 just place them in CT_LOCAL_TARBALLS_DIR.

 I've recently started working on crosstool-ng again. My goal is to
 upstream all of my work. The new maintainer of crosstool-ng is very
 interested in this work which helps tremendously.
