 After the update has finished downloading and it has been staged (ready
 for restart), a small "system level" notification should immediately be
 displayed; at least that is what I see on Mac OS.  After a longer delay,
 the large update prompt should be displayed but by default that delay is 2
 days.  It is controlled by app.update.promptWaitTime and it seems to work
 OK to use a much shorter delay, e.g., 5 minutes.  Even after the
 app.update.promptWaitTime delay, the prompt is not shown unless at least
 app.update.idletime seconds of idle time has elapsed (60 seconds by
 default).
