 If you encoutner this bug regularly, could we turn all the log_debug and
 log_info calls in the following functions into log_notice(), and tell me
 what they say?  This may generate a huge amount of output.

 The functions are:
   * compute_frac_paths_available()
   * count_usable_descriptors()

 Both in nodelist.c

 I'll keep looking for possible explanations.
