 Note that the "Timer exceeded limit: " WARNs above could indicate that
 measurements are getting truncated and I should increase max_fetch_time.
 It might be nice to know how many measurements have stalled before the
 timer fired. 600 timeouts/day * 30 seconds  ~ 5 hours/day
