Yes, I think we want to expose the slider more prominently. I am still not
sure how and am concentrating meanwhile on the one in the Torbutton
settings. Mike's idea of having a horizontal slider is probably not
working as the slider labels are not fitting there without overlapping
which gives a crappy user experience. Apart from that do I have the
feeling that a slider is somehow tied to something being vertically (but
that might be just me)...

Yes, that part will be available in one of the next slider revisions.
