 Hmm, that's odd.  I can't appear to reproduce the failure, but my libc
 version may be different (2.21).

 The behavior I added is making the routine more standard compliant (and
 this flag and the behavior has existed since the 90s), so I'm not sure why
 it'll break.  It's probably also worth looking at all the other flags
 (`AI_NUMERICSERV` probably also needs special handling).
