How large is the grey margin at the bottom?
I'd guess 40-50 pixels. It only seems to occur if you are already zoomed
before docking. So if you maximize (which zooms to 125% for me) then dock
to the left, you get the 40- to 50-pixel grey margin at the bottom.
If you dock when zoomed at 100%, it zooms to fill the area without grey
margin.
