Comment (by mttp):

 When extensions.torbutton.cookie_auto_protect is set to true, the line

 {{{
 InvalidateCaches=1
 }}}
 is appended to Data/Browser/profile.default/compatibility.ini. When
 extensions.torbutton.cookie_auto_protect is set to false again, this line
 is not deleted.
