 I think I'm happy with the branch "bug8380_re"  now.  The new code is 100%
 covered, and it seems to work okay. The XXXX is fixed.

 I'm not so sure, but it seems like a different ticket.

 (The real fix for that would be to implement proposal 219-expanded-dns.txt
 IMO)
