Comment:

 I just checked Lightning with Google Calendar and iCal. There are no leaks
 and the SOCKS proxy is being respected. There were two preferences -- user
 agent and locale -- that could leak information and have been fixed.

 The only drawback to this is that if someone uses a cloud-based calendar
 service over HTTP, as can be the case with someone who has set this up on
 their VPS and does not have SSL support. I don't think we can do much
 about it, except warn them about doing so in the documentation.

 If anyone has some other concern/issue, feel free to reopen this ticket.
