 This bug has stopped all versions of the TBB working for me. Can somebody
 spell out dcf's workaround above for novices? If I attempt it, will it
 interfere with the way Ubuntu manages multiple international keyboard
 layouts? I use that feature a lot, so anything that mucks it up will not
 work for me, and I'm not sure what role ibus plays in it these days.
