Comment:
Mark and I have tested many different builds on Linux. Some of the
browsers we built exhibited the problem and some of them didn't. Removing
all of the Tor patches from the TBB browser did not fix the TweetDeck
problem. The difference between a build where tweeting works and where it
doesn't seems to be due to differences in mozconfig settings.
The TBB build process uses the following options:
--disable-optimize
--enable-official-branding
--enable-strip
--disable-tests
--disable-debug
--disable-maintenance-service
--disable-crashreporter
According to about:buildconfig, Mozilla's Official 17.0.2 ESR builds use:
--enable-update-channel=esr
--enable-update-packaging
--enable-official-branding
--enable-stdcxx-compat
--enable-warnings-as-errors
The two builds also use different versions of gcc. Mark and I are not
sure should own this problem. Unless there is a reason to keep the
current mozconfig options, the simplest solution would be to try switching
the TBB builds to more closely match the options Mozilla uses. In
particular, removing --disable-optimize and/or --disable-debug may fix the
problem.
