Comment:

 That was nice and easy.  Branch "bug10409_023" in my public repository
 applies to 0.2.3 and later.  Test included.

 This patch could also have removed some of the now-redundant code that
 sets md->saved_location later on, but frankly it didn't seem like the best
 idea to change the code more than necessary in a stable release.

 Needs review.
