 "anonymous" isn't a great name either, though.  Linked directory
 connections *can* be anonymous (as in the case of hidden service directory
 operations) or they can be non-anonymous (as in the case of the
 connections we make over one-hop circuits when fetching directory
 information directly.)

 I think maybe "via_tor" is better?
