 Seems like the best way to do this is inside Torbutton, a) since it can
 know that you're asking for a .onion address, and b) since it's already a
 Tor controller.

 An intermediate step here would be to add a bunch of getinfos and events
 for hidden service rendezvous progress, so the controller can learn how
 it's going. I think there are some tickets already written for exposing
 more hidden service stuff over the control port -- they could use some
 attention.
