Comment:

 It looks like he did successfully push. Unfortunately, he had a tor/ tree
 untarred in his website directory, and pushed that too:
 https://www.torproject.org/tor/
 and the permissions on it are such that nobody else can remove it. :(

 (I haven't looked to see if anything else got pushed too.)
