 Our unnamed friend on irc points out http://www.auslogics.com/en/software
 /disk-defrag/history/ which has a changelog entry of "fixed BSOD for
 computers that have Kaspersky Internet Security installed".

 Seems very likely that our mmap, or a race with disk access, is the issue
 here.
