Comment:

 One reason for more bloat in 3.0development.3 is the huge number of new
 rulesets that have been added since 2.0:

 Given that huge number of rulesets, I would expect memory consumption of
 20-25MB on a 64 bit system.  Are you sure that the 50MB bloat is
 permanent, or does it shrink back to 20-25MB after a minute or two?
