 pde also points out djb's CurveCP:
 http://curvecp.org/
 which apparently is a TCP-like user-space stack with reasonable congestion
 control, per-packet confidentiality, and authentication. Wonder if it
 could play the role of pairwise TCP stacks + link encryption.
