 Here's a fix regarding nickm's comments:

 It can kill processes on Linux/Windows/Mac, and it can handle more than
 one Tor instance, just killing the one behind the ControlPort that
 Vidalia's trying to connect to.
 This won't work on FreeBSD for what I'm told, I have to build a VM for
 that.
