 I think it is the wrong approach to kneecap our users by pulling TIMBB
 without public notice. I am going to work on fixing this in Pidgin on
 Linux if I can repro the bug with a current copy of Pidgin (pidgin-2.7.11)
 - I guess my patch will fix it for our users but I doubt it will be
 accepted upstream.
