 I actually read tjr's comment as an advice to actually make sure we
 disable that, which is why I did not touch that pref. Quoting from comment

 Dang. Yes, that's been my bad. I was researching the prefs (and made a
 respective comment in my last comment about the results) but I forgot to
 actually remove them. Fixed in `bug_27268_v5`
