 How can I reproduce your issue? Note: there is no search bar by default
 anymore in Tor Browser. So, what I did was customizing my toolbar to
 explicitly add this bar again and then I went to
 http://ulrn6sryqaifefld.onion/. The "plus"-icon showed up in the search
 bar and I was able to add the engine. This is on a Linux box with a
 custom-built Tor Browser.
