After looking at Relay Search, I think relay operators are getting the
metrics list address from:
https://metrics.torproject.org/about.html#contact

You could add text like:

If you have a question about a relay, please contact
tor-relays at lists.torproject.org, which is a public mailing list (link to
https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-relays ).
Or search the list archives (link to 
https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-relays/ ) for answers.
