[metrics-team] searching for host names doesn't work

This is #27187. The details are correctly found in the details documents
but the summary documents are inconsistent and so the indexer doesn't
let you search with host names or AS numbers reliably.

There is some deeper problem here that I have not yet found the root
cause of.
